We knew each other through mutual friends, but mostly kept our communications through Facebook comments. One day, we started messaging each other which ended up being an every day thing. When we finally decided to go out, our dates started out pretty simple... Meet up at Lifetime Fitness, get a lift in, then go grab some good food. Turns out simple dates like that result in some pretty solid quality time; and we all know what quality time leads to. But our chemistry was natural and instant from the start. Of course there were some initial first date jitters, but it didn't take long for us to realize we were each other's best friends. But nearly 7 years later it was time to make things official. Michael proposed to me at my powerlifting meet after I was given my award. Probably a little silly from an outsider's perspective. But we fell in love at the gym... It only made sense for him to ask me to be his wife there, too. He got down on one knee in front of some of our most valued loved ones after I competed in the sport that brought us together. And it was perfect. We cannot wait to celebrate our relationship and our love with our closest family and friends. Every single person who will be in attendance was someone who not only helped us as individuals grow and flourish, but impacted us as a couple in some way/shape/form.
