The Wedding Website of Allison Renton and Ryan Anderson

DINING

COFFEE Night Heron (scones and books), Sunshine Coffee (cinnamon rolls on the weekend and breakfast burritos), Coal Creek (there is also beer here). RESTAURANTS Sweet Melissa's - Vegetarian comfort food. All it is cracked up to be. Connected to Front Street Bar for excellent drink selection. Altitude - Great if you are looking for a steak. Higher end but decently priced. The beer is good beer. Second Street Deli - Fantastic sandwiches and amazing salads in giant bowls. Buffalo Indian - Not much to look at but very delicious. Thai Spice - Also not much to look at. Also very delicious. Alibi - Wood fired pizza and great cocktails. Also good brunch on the weekends and a nice outdoor space. Born in a Barn - Burgers and interesting wings. Prairie Rose - A Laramie institution. Greasy spoon for breakfast and lunch.

RECREATION

We love living here for these reasons. Here is a great resource for info and maps: https://www.visitlaramie.org/things-to-do/outdoors-and-recreation/hiking/ PILOT HILL RECREATION AREA Located on the east side of town, Pilot Hill is great for mountain biking, hiking, and nature jaunts. Adventure can be as long or short as you like. HAPPY JACK/TIE CITY Forested maze of trails. We snowshoed here on our first date! VEDAUWOO Unique stacks of granite. Turtle Rock Trail is popular and fairly easy - 3 miles. Reynolds Hill Loop is beautiful - 4.2 miles. THE SNOWIES If you feel up to a hike at altitude (10,000 ft+), shorter hikes include French Creek, the lakes trail along Mirror Lake and Lake Marie, the Gap Lakes Trail from Sugarloaf, or the Glacier Lakes hike out of Brooklyn Lake. If you are looking for a challenge, we recommend the Medicine Bow Peak loop (7 miles) or the Browns Peak Loop (12 miles.) If you don't want to hike, we still recommend a drive up here, because it is beautiful.

OTHER FUN THINGS

MURAL TOUR We are lucky to have a great public arts culture here. Check out some of our murals around town! https://www.visitlaramie.org/things-to-do/arts-and-culture/mural-tour/ HISTORIC DOWNTOWN - CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE Laramie was founded in the 1800s as a stop on the Union Pacific Railroad. Lots of Old West and Railroad history around these parts. Bonus points for finding the statue of Louisa Swaine - the first woman anywhere in the western world to vote in a general election under laws that gave men and women fully equal political rights. https://www.visitlaramie.org/things-to-do/arts-and-culture/historic-downtown/
