One of our favorite local gems! Copper Fox is a cozy winery located just outside of Saint Marys, offering a fun mix of dry to sweet wines, Pennsylvania craft beers, and locally made spirits. A peaceful and scenic overlook with a stunning view of Spring Run Valley. The Cross on the Hill is a local landmark often visited for quiet reflection, beautiful photos, and even weddings. It’s just a short drive from Benezette and makes a perfect stop if you want fresh air and breathtaking scenery.
Home to the largest elk herd in the northeastern U.S., this is the spot to see these incredible animals up close! The Visitor Center has scenic trails, interactive exhibits, a 4D theater, and plenty of viewing areas where elk often wander right into sight. A must-see if you’ve never experienced Elk Country before.

A breathtaking overlook known as the “Top of the World,” Bucktail Overlook offers sweeping mountain views that stretch for miles. It’s especially stunning at sunrise and sunset, and in the fall when the leaves change color. A little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive for the view alone!
A beautiful state park perfect for outdoor fun! Parker Dam has hiking trails, a sandy beach with swimming, fishing spots, and picnic areas. In the winter you’ll also find cross-country skiing and sledding. It’s a great place for families to relax, explore, or spend a few hours surrounded by nature.
