On February 10, 2017, Breanna and Travis locked eyes for the first time... and the rest is history! T & B were considered a "99% match" according to the dating site they used to find each other. The website's algorithm proved to be accurate, as the pair quickly built a strong connection based on their mutual interests & quirky personality traits. Over the years, they enjoyed many adventures together - hiking & playing on the beach with their dog Roxy, traveling to the mountains, and even working together at a local pool. On September 15, 2019, Travis asked Breanna to become his adventure buddy for life... and 11 months later, they tied the knot! The couple had hoped to marry in Lake Tahoe in Summer 2020 with all of their friends & family, but the unexpected pandemic quickly put a halt to their wedding plans. Excited to move ahead with this next chapter in their lives, the two decided to host a "micro wedding" in Santa Barbara, and they invited their immediate family to attend. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was no easy feat: the bride's dress was bought online - as were the shoes, the groom's attire, and the jewelry; the beautiful flower arrangements (Renae's Bouquet - Santa Ynez) were a complete surprise; and the bride's parents ordered the perfect cake without ever tasting a bite. There was no shower or bachelor/bachelorette party, no dress fittings or make-up trials, and no reception... and yet, it was still the best day ever! The families met at The Bacara for photos prior to walking to nearby Haskell's Beach for the ceremony. Breanna's friend, Leslie, was the officiant; her friend, Sara, assisted with set-up & music and also FaceTimed with Breanna's brother who could not attend. The short event included a ring warming ceremony & exchanging of vows, which the couple wrote themselves. Afterwards, they enjoyed a first dance (to John Legend's "Stay With You") & a champagne toast by Breanna's father before walking back to The Bacara for dinner and cake!
