Johnathan and Jessica met in August of 2021 at a Pickleball meetup. They hung out with each other in group settings; playing pickleball, camping with friends and going on hikes. Somehow they ended up carpooling to many of these events. Over the next few years they became better friends, but some would say Johnathan was still a bit nervous to be around Jessica. On a group hike in May of 2023 in Rocky Mountain National Park, Jessica ran ahead to take a photo of a view and tripped and badly sprained her ankle. Johnathan carefully helped guide Jessica down the mountain. Jessica says this is when she “fell for Johnathan”. Later that summer of 2023 Jessica finally gained the confidence to hang out with Johnathan 1:1 instead of just in a group setting. She shared that she was interested in learning how to play disc golf and asked Johnathan to teach her how to play as this was a hobby he enjoyed. Luckily Johnathan took the hint and asked Jessica on a date. Many dates and adventures later, Jessica and Johnathan fell in love and now can’t wait to get married.
