Her Version: Good old Dil Mil! So, it was probably my “15th” time signing up for Dil Mil with the slightest hope that I would find my soul mate. After having Dil Mil for the “15th” time you eventually loose interest and end up swiping right on anyone. But then I came across this face and I thought this guy looks Kna and I ended up reading his bio and what do you know it said Kna Catholic and the second thing in his bio said “I want someone to look at me the way I look at tacos.” I found myself swiping right on him and we instantly matched! Next thing you know I was googling taco jokes to make an impression (till this day neither of us can remember the joke). I was impatiently waiting for his reply and he finally texted back! He also “claims” that he would’ve responded to me no matter what joke or no joke. We talked for a little bit but he would only text me once a day (literally one text a day). I was like great this a typical guy and it’s not going to go anywhere. I eventually lost hope that this wasn’t going to go anywhere. I made him ask for my number a couple of weeks later because he was shy and still it was just one text a day. Finally, he called me one day and we talked for about 20 mins. The next time we talked on the phone we talked for hours. Then a couple of days later he told me that he was coming to Houston for a wedding! I was nervous thinking that this was it after he met me he wasn’t going to like me and it was going to be over. But we met and the first time he saw me he basically tackled me like I was some sort of football player! I drove him to get tacos about 45 mins away (that’s his favorite food) and we had our first date. We enjoyed brunch on Sunday before he left back to Chicago and we decided to keep talking. We soon texted all day and basically FaceTimed all night. Couple of months later he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history! Princeton, I can’t wait to start our lives together! Yes, we met on Dil Mil. I believe my sister and my cousins told me to go on and try it. I was hesitant at first because I didn't think it will work, but after some time I decided to give it a shot. But, I had low expectations going into it. After about a year, I was thinking about just deleting it until this girl sends me a message with a taco joke (We hate how we still can't remember the joke lol). But, it caught my attention cause I love tacos (hence why I wrote that on my bio). I remember swiping right on her. I thought she was cute and she wrote that she was Kna Jaco. We started talking and I started to get interested to her. And yes no matter what I would have talked to her, despite what she says. We talked about how we have a lot of things in common. I think the first thing she loved was the fact that I liked listening to Indian music. I have a whole playlist of Indian music on my phone. I felt we were having great conversations, but I do have an explanation on why I sent one message a day (they're big paragraphs) most days. My workplace has bad WIFI and phone reception and I work a little late. It is hard to respond. I was still interested in her. After a few months I told her I was coming to Houston for a wedding so we decided to meet. I was nervous, but I felt I have known this girl for a while and I had a good feeling about this. She picked me up and I was happy to see her so I went for a big hug! I also got her a gift, but she was more happy that I got her nephew Lucas a toy car. She drove 45 minutes to get tacos (instantly started to get strong feelings right there) and just talked the night away. After our Sunday brunch, I made it clear that I wanted to keep talking. After I left, We texted and facetimed everyday day (sometimes even fall asleep during facetime at night and wake up together with our phones still on facetime). After a few months, I asked her to be my girlfriend. Ancy, I can't wait to marry you and be with you forever. I love you ;)
