Kolkata has one airport. Most international flights reach Kolkata after one layover. We recommend buying tickets well in advance, because prices will start increasing after July. Some popular airlines include Air India, Qatar Airways, Emirates, United, Lufthansa.

Yes, we are partnering with nonprofits to distribute any leftovers to the needy. Your timely RSVP will also help us minimize food wastage.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Come dressed in your best Indian attire. That will be saree/kurti for the ladies and western formal/kurta for the gents. You can buy Indian clothes in Fab India, Pantaloons, Manyavar. Additionally, the bride's mother has her own store and can help you out.

Will my phone work in Kolkata?

Answer

Don’t forget to set up international roaming with your phone provider before you travel to India—it’ll make things easier when you land. Alternatively, you can pick up a local SIM card right at the Kolkata airport. Just bring a couple of passport photocopies and a few passport-sized photos to make the process smooth!

How do I go around the city?

Answer

Uber should work fine, just make sure you have a linked card that accepts international transactions. If you want to be adventurous, carry some cash with you and avail one of Kolkata's diverse public transportations (autorickshaw, buses, metro rail to name a few).
