Ana and Joe attended United Haitian Baptist Church together, he was the youth president for some time and she was apart of the choir, but truthfully, neither of them were checkin' for the other. They were simply two people walking the same path without ever realizing where that path would eventually lead. In 2019, Joe transitioned to Place of Refuge Church, and about a year and a half later, Ana followed her own calling and found herself at Place of Refuge Church too. That's where everything changed! "Hello" turned into short conversations, and short conversations slowly bloomed into a sweet friendship. One year, Ana received a letter from Joe on her birthday. In his own words, he shared how special she was to him—so special that he couldn't explain the why or the how. He just knew. And something in her heart knew too. As time went by, the two started texting more frequently and texting turned into phone calls... phone calls turned into late-night Face Times that lasted until neither of us could keep our eyes open. One night, the two were on facetime and Joe asked Ana about her bucket list. So she told him everything: skydiving, bungee jumping, ziplining, traveling the world... Then it was his turn. Oddly enough, his list consists of only one thing: Take Ana on a date (lol, so corny, right!?) On May 28, 2022 the two went on their first date and obviously, the rest is history! But now he has to make a new bucket list lol!
