Layton and Anastasia have known each other for many years. Both are graduates of Douglas High School, and both were very involved in the band. Layton and Anastasia spent most of their time getting to know each other during student aid hours in high school. When Anastasia first started looking at colleges, she knew she wanted to be a music teacher. Layton, on the other hand, didn't know you could go to school to become a music teacher. Finally, I convinced him to come to Black Hills State University with me and study music education. Freshman year, Layton and Anastasia got closer as friends and spent time adjusting to adult life. Eventually, the relationship developed into more, and on April 1st, 2022, Layton asked Anastasia to be his girlfriend. Later on, they decided to get an apartment in Spearfish together. A couple of months after moving in, they found a stray kitten (Luna) that joined their little family. In May 2024, the BHSU concert choir was taking a trip to Ireland. One day during the trip, we visited the Aran Islands and hiked up to some cliffs. Layton then asked Anastasia to take a picture, and all of a sudden, he was asking her to marry him. Anastasia and Layton spend most of their time discussing music and new songs they have liked. We enjoy many hobbies together, such as LEGOs, watching movies, and playing Xbox games. We can't wait to celebrate our special day with all our friends and family.
