Julie and Anastasia met in their work at The Wilderness Society and became close friends over the years. With her kind heart, infectious sense of humor, and adventurous spirit, we couldn’t imagine a better person to make it official.

Jason’s goddaughter, who quickly dubbed Anastasia ‘Auntie Stasia,’ will be our wild flower child. Forbes and Kelsey, Abby’s parents, are our dear friends and we are excited to have the whole family as a part of our day (wait until you taste that cake!).
Michelle
Maid of Honor
Michelle and Anastasia met their freshman year of college at Old Dominion University. They lived in the same dorm and enjoyed many of the same pastimes. They became quick friends, bonding over their love of Justin Timberlake, 3-6 Mafia and dancing. They stayed close through graduation, post-college life and living across the country from each other- traveling around the world together and with their amazing group of friends. Michelle and Anastasia are finally on the same coast again and just a short flight to each other now - and taking full advantage of it!

Emily and Anastasia met at Old Dominion University during Emily's freshman year. Emily rushed Zeta Tau Alpha, the sorority that Anastasia had joined the previous semester. They became close friends and eventually roommates - sharing so many laughs along the way! Emily is incredibly loyal and a wonderful person to have your back.

Natasha and Anastasia met at Old Dominion University at a 90s party (through Michelle) where Anastasia was dressed up like Scary Spice and perfectly nice to Natasha. They've traveled and explored across the world with their amazing group of friends. Natasha always brings the cheer and biggest smile to any occasion!

Teni and Anastasia met while charging their phones on the floor of an airport. They were both in Northern California for a week-long, adult camplike nonprofit training. They spent the next week, with no cell service, bonding over their passion for the environment and social justice. They remained friends over the years visiting each other between DC and CA. Teni is the life of any party!
Alex
Best Man
The 7 foot tall Englishman with a heart of gold. He’s been with me through abstinence, moderation, and (mostly) excess. He’ll be the point of contact to ensure everything goes smoothly and with as much class as we can muster.

Groomsman
The pretty one. Eyelashes for DAYS. Forbes and I have been best friends since he and his wife Kelsey moved to Washington ten (10!) years ago. He's handy with a welding machine, makes a mean cocktail, and can craft a squirt gun out of papier-mâché and spare parts.
Kenny

Kenny and I were on the submarine together, as well as being roommates (domestic partners) for a couple years. He’s got more stories than Forrest Gump and more charm than any one person should. His was the first wedding I ever officiated, one of my favorite moments (and stories) ever.

The man/myth/legend. He’s bringing the class. We worked together on shore duty, generally we drink old fashioneds and argue.
