There will be people present who are extremely high risk for contracting covid and having serious health complications if they do contract it (including immediate family members of the couple). Therefore we are taking this very seriously. We will be requiring everyone to have taken an at home covid test the day of the wedding, and everyone will be wearing a mask except when eating or drinking. If you anticipate having trouble finding an antigen (at-home) covid test, please let us know ASAP so we can help you get one.
Absolutely! We will have a table set up for kids with some games and coloring pages and stuff to keep the little ones entertained. However, we will not have professional babysitters on site, so ultimately you are responsible for keeping your children safe and happy throughout the event.
Yes, there is limited parking available. We will have transportation to and from hotels available to limit the amount of driving you have to do and keep the amount of cars at the location at a minimum.
Yes, please do! We want you to be happy at the wedding and that means providing food everyone can eat. We will have gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian, and nut free options but if you have any special requests please let us know!
Cocktail, please. But we also want everyone to be comfortable, so if you need to unbutton your shirt or kick off your shoes or throw on your winter parka, feel free to do so!
Cold! The average temperature at night is between 5 and 15 degrees. During the day it can be a little warmer, but is still usually below freezing. You should plan on bringing a warm winter jacket, hats, gloves, a scarf, boots, etc. We will have a coat rack you can store your layers on so you don't have to deal with them at your seats.
YES! The interior of the barn is heated. However the outside will be cold, so you should still bring plenty of layers to keep yourself warm when walking to and from your cars and during any outdoor part of the ceremony.
Weather permitting, yes! We absolutely love winter in Vermont and think it is so beautiful and want a snowy backdrop to our wedding. The ceremony will take place on a covered patio, and there will be space heaters to keep everyone comfortable. If you get too cold, there are also plenty of windows inside the barn that look out over the patio, so you can go inside to watch the ceremony if need be.
Yes! You can find our registry on this website under the "Registry" tab. While we are registered at both Zola and Bed Bath and Beyond, they both show up on this website. We also believe in supporting small, local businesses, so if there is something on our registry that you want to get us from your local store instead, we think that would be even more meaningful!
Great question! We want you to truly be in the moment, and its difficult to do that behind a camera! We ask you leave all photography to our professional photographer, the amazing Amy Bennett and we will make sure everyone has access to the photos after the wedding. (Also we don't want her amazing skills ruined by someone else's flash going off!)
