We're tying the knot

We first met in April 2021, in the middle of the pandemic, through a match on Hinge. At the time, Gustaf lived in Skene and Anastacia in Gothenburg, about an hour apart. After a short time chatting, we decided to meet in Slottskogen, one of Gothenburg’s most beautiful parks. Gustaf arrived with a picnic and a bottle of wine, and surrounded by nature we spent hours talking, laughing, and discovering how much we had in common. From then on, weekends became our little adventures—crossing the miles between Skene and Gothenburg on the bus, where every ride turned into a countdown to seeing each other again. A few months later, life together began to take shape. Anastacia started her residency in General Medicine in Gothenburg, while Gustaf worked as a physiotherapist in Skene. Soon after, Gustaf made a life-changing decision to study electrical engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. When he was admitted, he moved in with Anastacia, and their shared journey truly began. The following years were filled with hard work, studies, and unwavering support for each other’s dreams. In March 2024, Gustaf proposed—and Anastacia said yes. After navigating some family health challenges in 2024, everything finally fell into place. In the summer of 2026, we’ll celebrate our wedding at the same time as we celebrate another milestone: Anastacia becoming a certified specialist in general medicine, and Gustaf graduating as an electrical engineer.
