Thomas Salverson
Best Man
Thomas and An were suite-mates their Freshman year of college. They subsequently took many (dreadful) classes together throughout undergrad and grad school and survived. They are seemingly "brothers from different mothers", who encourage each other to do crazy things each and every day. An introduced Thomas to video games and Thomas introduced An to Star Wars. Thomas has always been by An's side through the thick and thin, in faith, in engineering, and certainly in being nerds.
Danelle Pecht
Maid of Honor
Katheryn and Danelle are sisters. Danelle is the older sister and reminds Katheryn of that fact often and in every way possible. Though they have always fought like cats and dogs when left together for more than a few days, they know when to put that aside and enjoy the time they are able to spend together. While they had differences in their hobbies and interests growing up, they were able to (and still do) bond over the joy of collecting the newest American Girl doll and what it was like having some of the same teachers in high school.
Gage Fletcher
Groomsman
An and Gage met on An's first day at Riverside Military Academy. They bonded over An's black shirt with red and white stripes, the University of Georgia Bulldogs' colors. Even though An did not know a lick about UGA or its football team, he went along with it. Gage showed An what "Americanism" was all about: Football, Five Guys Burgers, Shooting, Camping, Thanksgiving Turkeys, and Christmases.
Amanda McCracken
Bridesmaid
Katheryn and Amanda are cousins. Though there is an age gap between them, Katheryn always enjoyed the time she got to spend with her cousin when she would visit Alabama. In more recent years, Katheryn has greatly enjoyed getting to share in the joy of Amanda's young children and a new dynamic with her cousin.
HongJie "Locky" Yang
Groomsman
As An's cousin, Locky is An's only family member in the States. They grew up together, went to the same kindergarten, learned piano, and shared the same toys. An's first time abroad was to visit Locky and his family, who live in Shanghai. This visit sparked An's passion to explore the world, eventually landing in the States. Years later, Locky and An went to Riverside Military Academy together and competed on the same Georgia State Champion Drill Team. They share the joy of music, anime, and video games.
Sarah Salverson
Bridesmaid
Katheryn first met Sarah during Katheryn's freshman year of college. Though that adventure of a late night milkshake outing was certainly memorable, they didn't become close friends until Katheryn's sophomore year when Katheryn started regularly eating lunch with the larger group of UAH friends. Sarah has been a dear friend providing encouragement, biblical advice, and plenty of hearty laughs throughout the years they have know each other. And yes, Sarah is married to Thomas (the Best Man), and double dates with them are always a hoot!
