This is one of our FAVORITE places. It's so beautiful, easy to social distance, and there is always fun events going on!

Hattie B's Hot Chicken - Melrose Nashville, TN

Hot chicken is a Nashville staple and as a spice fanatic... it's one of Ana's favorite things. Just a fair warning though... don't overestimate how hot just the normal "Hot" level is... the top spice level basically means you won't be able to feel your face for a couple hours.

Old Glory

This is a fabulous speakeasy... we love it and think you will too!

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

This is one of Ana's favorite places. As a kid that loved museums growing up it is so much fun... even the kid stuff is fun! There's so much that is just so exciting as a country music fan.. in fact Ana went there by herself the entire day Kush was interviewing at Vanderbilt. He was unfortunately quite stressed, but Ana was having the time of her life reading every plaque in the building of this place!

The Loveless Cafe

The Loveless Cafe is just one of those places that is timeless, famous because people like Dolly Parton love it and every country star that's been there has a picture on the wall. But holy smokes... the biscuits from this place, they were definitely sent straight from heaven. It's pretty common at this place to have an hour and a half wait for a table... but have no fear! There's firepits, a BBQ stand with a cocktail bar, and gift shops all on the property as well!

Edley's Bar-B-Que

Ana and Kush constantly go back and forth about while BBQ place in Nashville is the best. This place is Kush's favorite. Ana likes another one more, but let's be real... it's all amazing! Ana does think this place has the best Banana Pudding in the city... so if that's your thing, try it!

Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint

This place is Ana's favorite BBQ place. Kush does love their "Alabama White BBQ" sauce though and the "Nashville Comeback Sauce" which you'll have to ask for specifically but man they are good. Ana literally loves everything on their menu and thinks they can do no wrong.

Percy Warner Park

This is our favorite Frothy Monkey in the City and there's so much space to spread out!

Urban Grub

This place is AMAZING! The brunch here is our favorite, but let's be real... it's all great!

Nicoletto's Italian Kitchen (Hillsboro Village)

This is Ana's favorite pasta in the city. One day after a terrible shift Kush surprised Ana with take-out from this place... and it was just confirmation that Kush is the best guy ever!

8th & Roast

This coffee shop is walking distance from our apartment and it's pretty dangerous because it's got the strongest coffee we've had in town! We love it! Just a regular drip coffee is what we do, but we're sure you'd like the fancy stuff too.

TailGate Brewery

Shout-out to our friend Michael Mannarino who introduced us to this place our first time in Nashville a couple years ago. We love it and think you will too! There's many locations around the city too!

Baja Burrito

This is honestly one of our favorite places. Think of it like an authentic "Chipotle" except better than you can imagine. Ana also thinks you should try the Horchata. It's the best!

Prince's Hot Chicken Shack SoBro

Hot Chicken is big in Nashville... Kush isn't super into it but if you know Ana you know she loves spice... and the hotter the better! Ana thinks that out of all the Hot Chicken she has had in Nashville this is the BEST one. Heads up - Medium = Most places "Hot"!

Shelby Bottoms Greenway

During the pandemic Kush took up biking with the gyms closed in DC. When we moved to Nashville we discovered this gem in the city! We love Shelby Bottoms, there's trails to hike, bike, run ... and really sweet areas to have picnics! For family with little kiddos there's even a little nature center and recreation area.

The Café at Thistle Farms

This is an amazing organization. You honestly just have to go to the website and read about it! They're amazing. You have to get the coffee with the icecream in it too if you go visit!

Arrington Vineyards

We love this vineyard! It's honestly a must visit afternoon-trip if you are staying in Nashville for a while. They sometimes have live music outside, and there's tons of space to hang-out with a big group!

The Johnny Cash Museum & Cafe

We know we have some major Johnny Cash fans in our friends and family! Luckily we live just 5 streets away from his museum! Check it out!

Goo Goo Shop

Did you know Nashville has their own token candy? You have to check out their shop on 3rd street! So yum!

One10 Beauty

Ana has been a part of quite a few weddings herself and has many times scrambled to get an appointment before a wedding at a salon she knew nothing about for some hair help. Gina is Ana's little sister and a cosmetologist but Ana doesn't know how to do hair to save her life. She wanted to recommend her favorite salon in the area. This salon actually is known as the official glam squad for the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders! Highly recommend them if you want them to help you with a hair-do, make-up or even a facial on the days surrounding the wedding!

Draper James

This is Reese Witherspoon's clothing store! Who doesn't love Reese?? You have to go check it out if you like her.

Zanies Comedy Night Club

Zanie's is a well-known comedy club in the area! We are praying that it will be safe enough with COVID to visit soon! Comedy is Ana's little brother Max's favorite thing so it's been a big wish of her's to take Max here!

The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club

This is an AWESOME speakeasy in East Nashville. We have been FLOORED with how amazing they are doing at keeping up COVID precautions. They do mixology classes (check the website or instagram) but they are also just a ready good date night (probably won't be able to get a table more than 4 people here) reservations here HIGHLY recommended. The quality of the drinks here are above and beyond, SO stellar. Everyone is given a paper bag for their facemask, seatings are limited to encourage social distancing, there's hand sanitizer at every seating area and they will kick people out for refusing to wear a mask when not seated. Read: super safe for an indoor space & super delish!

Hearts

LOVE Hearts! This is actually an Australian Cafe, Bar, & Restaurant in East Nashville. They have AMPLE outdoor seating and it is so incredible. Literally they do no have a bad dish here. It's all incredible. Even the mushroom toast... like MUSHROOM toast?? How did they make it so good... not sure, but it's amazing and so yummy! They do outdoor live music on Sunday nights, and we are loving it!

Restoration Hardware Nashville - Green Hills

You might be wondering why we have a fancy furniture store on our favorite places list... But bear with me. Make check out the cafe and just get a coffee! It's an INCREDIBLE place.

Green Hills Park

Ana has friends with munchkins and often will go with them to playgrounds. We have quite a few munchkins in our family and circle of friends. This park is SUPER fun and has an awesome climbing area for kids and great covered picnic area for little kids!

Listening Room Cafe

Kind of like a lower-key Bluebird Cafe!

Ryman Auditorium

This used to be the site of the Grand Old Opry, and would be something really fun to check out if you are able!

Fifth + Broadway

Not going to lie, as cool as Broadway is it can get overwhelming! This spot off to the side of broadway has multiple options for food and shopping! The Assembly on the second floor is a must visit if you are able! All of the gems of Nashville eating have a little storefront here, you can listen to live music and there's a bar and out door balcony.

312 Pizza Company

Nashville is the coolest "melting pot" of people from all over the country and even world. Kush is a bit obsessed with Chicago style pizza. This place is our favorite, however full disclosure it take 45 minutes from the time you order for the pie to be ready if you get Chicago style. Fun fact: We actually do have a Gino's here, the actual famous Chicago pizza! 312 is just our current favorite!

Nelson's Green Brier Distillery

This is one of Kush's favorite distilleries. There's actually a ton of history to this place as well! Check out the website and book a tour if that's your thing! Adult tastings are $12; Military and First Responder Tastings with ID are $9.

Urban Cowboy Public House

This place is super cool and has a really great outdoor fire pit patio area as a part of there bar. Definitely a favorite local haunt.

The Smiling Elephant

This place has been rated as one of the best Thai places year after year in Nashville. We are lucky to live right across the street! Full disclosure we have only ever done take-out here so no idea what it's like on the inside. It's so delicious! However, don't be described... it's REAL Thai, not American-ized Thai, so the typical American go-to Pad Thai tastes totally different from what you would be expecting. We love it!

Stay Golden

LOVE the biscuit breakfast sandwiches here. They also have a $15 coffee subscription here which is amazing, so you can get as much coffee as you want here for a month, iced or hot for just 15 bucks! Which if you are a big coffee drinker and staying here all week, might be worth it!

The Sutler Saloon

This is a historic neighborhood bar walking distance from our apartment and we got so lucky! They have live music often, great happy hour deals, and a great brunch (no reservations though and can expect a long wait). There's stories of country music legend John Prine (rest in peace, he passed from COVID last year) singing and playing pool here in the basement.

Pins Mechanical Co

This place is awesome. Think about a super fun indoor and outdoor bar with more pinball machines than you can imagine, yard games, bowling and fire pits!

Ole Smoky Distillery

Highly recommend a moonshine tasting here! They are also indoor-outdoor and have fun yard games, live music and typically a food truck of some kind!

Five Daughters Bakery - 12th South

You have to go here and try a 100 layer doughnut! It's what dreams are made of. If you watched the Netflix series, "Marriage or Mortgage" this was the doughnut place that was featured!

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

This is a chain ... but who doesn't love some Jeni's?!

Nashville Farmers' Market

Think Farmer's Market times 1 million... this place is huge! And were we are planning of browsing with who ever wants to come before they leave Sunday!

Big Machine Distillery & Tavern

Live music, awesome breakfast, usually not a crazy wait for a table!

Yazoo Brewing

Kush loves the beer here called "SUE" it's a solid stout!

Craft Brewed

This place is walking distance to our apartment complex and we love it. The staff there is super friendly and really cares about helping you find what you want. It's in an old carwash shop and half the store is a Craft Beer, Wine, Liquor Store and the other half is their taproom with lots of outdoor seating options. We also appreciate that they have board games available for people to play for free in their indoor seating hall by the big screen that they usually have football playing on.

Nashville Craft Distillery

This is an awesome distillery in Wedgewood Houston (also sometimes called WeHo). This is neighborhood in Nashville that is growing so quickly... so there's a ton on construction. But that doesn't take away from the fact that this place is awesome!

Crumbl Cookies - Nashville

This is a national chain so some of y'all may have already tried them. They are SO good. And you can get them delivered to where ever you are staying as well!

Peg Leg Porker BBQ

Quality BBQ in the Gulch. The owner has been on quite a few food network things. Kush has gone but Ana hasn't yet! However as we know Ana quite the pickle snob, and they have Kool-aid Pickles here... so it's been on her list!

Shotgun Willie's BBQ

Kush's favorite BBQ in all of Nashville now. He will get there 30 minutes early before it opens with his friend Dan and wait until Brisket is ready because it sells out so quickly... He's met Willie too and says he's a solid guy.

Pancake Pantry

Great pancake place... just plan on a wait, they don't take reservations and the line is usually down the street until 1 pm. It moves fast though!

Donut Distillery

This place is incredible... there's actually a storefront for them now in Assembly Food Hall at 5th and Broadway. At their main location you can do a Donut and Beer Flight, Donut and Soda Flight, or a Donut and Wine Flight. Then they serve it ON A WOODEN DONUT!!!

Hopdoddy Burger Bar

This is a chain Burger place from Austin, TX. Ana loves them though. They had a burger with broccoli on it instead of lettuce and it was lifechanging.

Slim & Husky's Pizza Beeria

This is the first black-owned restaurant on Broadway! And oh man are they good... pizza and beer, who could go wrong?! There's a pie for everyone's tastes.
