If you told me six years ago that I would meet the love of my life on a dating app, I would have said you were crazy. Raymond and I matched on Bumble around the end of August 2019. When I saw his photos, I thought he was handsome and had the best smile. I messaged him, and we instantly connected. He asked me out immediately. Our first date was September 2nd, 2019, at Texas Roadhouse. Raymond was more handsome in person. Usually, when I meet someone, I don't usually hug them, but something about Raymond made me feel comfortable enough to hug him. It was probably that brilliant smile. We had dinner and got to know each other. The conversation didn't feel forced, and it was like we knew each other forever. Things went so well that we continued the date, taking a stroll downtown. Where we shared our first kiss. From then on, we were inseparable. We kept it pretty casual for about a month, and in October, we made it official that we were dating. I got to meet his family on Thanksgiving 2019. It was intimidating to meet his mother because I didn't know what to expect. I just hoped she liked me and that I was good enough for her son. I'm proud to say Sandra is definitely the best mother-in-law anyone could ask for. She always goes out of her way to make me feel at home when we visit. I moved in with Raymond at the beginning of 2020. This was a true test of our relationship for sure. I wasn't able to work during quarantine, but he was considered an essential worker, so he still had to. There was a lot of uncertainty and emotional moments, but through it all, we figured it out together. Raymond proposed to me in Florida on July 18th, 2024. It was definitely the most memorable moment of my life. We made some of the best memories on this trip and have many stories to tell in the future. We're excited to celebrate with everyone in October. Can't wait to say 'I Do' to my best friend and soul mate!!!
