Michigan Central Station
This architectural masterpiece, once a symbol of abandonment, has been beautifully restored by Ford Motor Company into a modern hub for innovation and public gathering. Located at the heart of Corktown, it now stands as a powerful symbol of Detroit’s renewal. We enjoyed taking our Christmas pictures here in 2024!
The Spirit of Detroit
"The Spirit of Detroit" is a Detroit icon, synonymous with the city itself and the dedication of those who love the Motor City. The bronze monument sits on a 60-ton marble base and is parked in front of the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in the heart of downtown Detroit. He overlooks Detroit's main drag of Woodward Avenue, and is a stone's throw from Hart Plaza.
Hart Plaza
A 5.5‑mile riverfront stretch featuring parks, plazas, scenic walking/biking paths, and public events. Hart Plaza is along the way—offering stunning skyline views, fountains, and playgrounds. Named the best US riverwalk in 2021 and 2022. You can see Canada across the water!

USA Today readers ranked it the No. 1 art museum in the U.S. We love going here on the weekends to enjoy art together. One of our first dates was at an art museum.
Belle Isle
This 982‑acre island in the Detroit River offers a beach, aquarium, conservatory, marina, giant fountain, nature center—and some of the city's best sunset vistas. It's the second most‑visited state park in the U.S.
