We’re Getting Married!

In June 2016, Analisa graduated from college and set off for Amarillo to begin her very first “big girl” job — basically, Adulting 101. But she wasn’t just clocking in for a paycheck; she was also secretly hoping her Prince Charming might be hiding somewhere in the Texas panhandle. Spoiler: Amarillo wasn’t exactly brimming with princes. Fast forward to December 2019, when Omar moved to Amarillo. By some stroke of fate — or maybe just excellent HR matchmaking — he ended up working at the very same place as Analisa. Omar quickly realized he’d lucked out (she was pretty amazing, even if she played it cool). On March 7, 2020, Analisa hosted a game night and invited Omar to join. Between questionable strategies and more than a little competitive trash talk, sparks flew — and by the end of the night, they shared their first kiss. Suddenly, game nights got a whole lot more interesting. Just a couple of weeks later, on March 19, Omar took Analisa to Pescaraz, a cozy Italian spot, and asked her the big question: “Will you be my girlfriend?” She said yes — because honestly, who can resist love and pasta? The very next day, March 20, the world shut down for COVID. Luckily, they discovered they lived in the same apartment complex. Quarantine life quickly turned into a 24/7 sleepover. Omar learned to nod along through endless Taylor Swift fangirling, while Analisa dove headfirst into anime marathons. They became each other’s favorite distraction — and best company. By November 2020, they signed their first lease together. Roommates, yes — but the romantic kind. In May 2021, they leveled up again with a move to Houston: new city, new adventures, same laughter and love. June 2022 brought their first international trip together — and they even brought their moms along to Spain. Between tapas menus and airport chaos, they navigated it all, proving they could handle travel stress (and still hold hands through it). By March 2023, they were planting roots, buying their first home in Houston. No more shared laundry rooms or questionable neighbors — just their own space to build a life together. Then, on July 27, 2024, Omar got down on one knee in Mexico, surrounded by family. Analisa said yes (again) — with happy tears, lots of laughter, and probably a celebratory taco or two. And on December 20, 2025, they’ll say yes forever. Their wedding day will mark the start of a lifetime of adventures — Taylor Swift sing-alongs, anime marathons, inside jokes, and love that only keeps growing.
