In Fall of 2020, I met my best friend, Analee. We met through our social club, Sigma Phi Mu. We interacted at club events and in passing if we saw each other. But in the spring semester of 2021, she became the sports director for Sig Phi. Since I (mostly) attended the games, this brought about the perfect setup to talk with her more. Soon enough, I realized that my feelings for her were strong and I was undeniably happy and in awe of her beauty of heart in every interaction we had. Admittedly, I was falling in love. However, I felt that Analee was way above and beyond me—I had no chance with her. Eventually I mustered up enough courage and admitted my feelings to her one evening right before curfew. From there, we had one wonderful month of dating in-person before Analee and I embarked on a journey through the rugged terrain of long-distance. By God’s grace, we defied the odds and thrived. We both knew that with a strong why, we could conquer any how. After eight months we were ready to take the next step and I asked her to marry me. With the help of her incredible best friends, who decorated and set up for the proposal, I brought her into her home church. We danced to our song, I gave my speech, but most importantly, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. It was an unforgettable night with much celebration with family and friends. Through the valleys and the mountain tops, God has blessed us and guided our feet to walk down this path in this journey of love. We are excited about our marriage and what lies ahead for us as we continue to go where the Lord leads us. With overwhelming joy and utmost reliance on God, we are excited to move forward and begin our life together. - Written by Bryan Rendon & edited Analee Reed :)
