We have a group reservation for a Hilton Hotel in Downtown Chicago. If you stay here you will be able to tae the metra line to the wedding venue.
House Or Rental
We recommend using AirBnb to find a rental around one of Chicago's most beautiful neighborhoods! Recommended neighborhoods that are close to the Metra train line to the wedding include: Ravenswood (Where Daniel, Anakay and Chiquita live), Lincoln Square, Lake View, Wriglyville, North Center. The wedding is in a suburb of Chicago called Highland Park. You are welcome to look in that area if you wish to be closer to the venue but we suggest staying in Chicago for easy access to sight seeing in Chicago while you're here. Do not hesitate to reach out to Daniel or Anakay for neighborhood questions!!
Train
The UP-N Metra lines is available to take from Chicago to the wedding venue. The nearest station to the wedding venue is the Highland Park station, which is about a 10 minute walk to the venue. Single Metra tickets can be purchased on the Chicago Ventra app or at local CTA stations. Please note that the Metra line runs every 30 minutes and ends service at midnight. We recommend guests to uber/lyft after the wedding.
Travel Note
Chicago is a very pedestrian friendly city so we recommend guests staying in the City so they do not need to rent a car to get around. If you do feel you need to rent a car, we suggest using Turo as a budget friendly option. With this in mind, the wedding venue is a 35-45 minute drive from Chicago which is why suggest the Metra train to get there.
Travel Note
Hotels are also an option! Most hotels will be around Downtown Chicago which have access to all train lines and tourist activities.
