Walking is generally the best way to get around and the city is very accessible. While Uber is available, we will also provide recommendations that allow you to schedule a ride ahead of time in addition to traditional green taxis that are easy to find. It should be noted that taxis are primarily cash only.

Getting to and from Rancho las Puertas

Answer

We will be providing transportation to the wedding venue. When RSVPing, please make sure to note if you will require transportation to the venue and input the details of where you are staying and your contact information so that we can get a car sent to your location. Please make sure to have whatsapp downloaded in order to communicate with the drivers. For transportation back to your accommodation, we will have a car service ready for you at the venue. Please note this service will be cash only.

Do I need to convert money?

Answer

Yes, we suggest carrying some cash and converting it to Mexican pesos upon arrival in Mexico. While you can use credit cards in most places, cash is helpful for paying for taxis, tipping and shopping in the city. Like with anywhere, you are going to get a better rate outside the airport, so would suggest an exchange house or a bank when you get into the city.

What is the weather like?

Answer

The weather in San Miguel should be a nice 70-80 degrees in late September / early October. At night, it could get slightly chilly with lows in the 50s.
