Things To Do

We will come back and continue adding ideas as we find them! Tuscany is known for its landscapes, history, artistic legacy, and its influence on high culture. It contains well-known museums such as the Uffizi and the Palazzo Pitti. Tuscany is also known for its wines. Eight Tuscan localities have been designated World Heritage Sites: the center of Florence, the Cathedral square of Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena, Pienza, the Val d'Orcia, the Medici Villas and Gardens, and Montecatini Terme as part of the Great Spa Towns of Europe. Tuscany has an immense cultural and artistic heritage, expressed in the region's churches, palaces, art galleries, museums, villages, and piazzas. Many of these artifacts are found in the main cities, such as Florence and Siena, but also in villages scattered around the region, such as San Gimignano. Please beware ZTL in historic districts (see FAQ).
