Question

Option 1 : The One-Day Wonder

Answer

Paris → Angles-sur-l’Anglin → Bergerac (or Faux) If your goal is to complete the drive in one day with just enough beauty to make it memorable this is the route for you. Leave Paris in the morning and head south toward the Dordogne, stopping halfway in Angles-sur-l’Anglin, one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. Enjoy lunch and a short stroll through this charming riverside village, then continue on to Bergerac or Faux, arriving by early evening. Best for: an efficient one-day drive with a scenic pause.

Question

Option 2: The Classic French Road Trip

Answer

Paris → Loire Valley → Overnight Stay → Bergerac For those who want to make the journey part of the experience, drive from Paris through the Loire Valley, famous for its fairy-tale châteaux, gardens, and vineyards. Highlights include Château de Chenonceau, Villandry,Chambord, and Azay-le-Rideau. Spend the day exploring at your own pace, then stay overnight in a Loire Valley town or village (such as Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, or Tours). Continue on to Bergerac the following day, refreshed and well-traveled. Best for: guests who want a slower, quintessential French road trip.

Question

Option 3 - The Bordeaux break

Answer

Paris → Bordeaux → Bergerac Fly from Paris to Bordeaux and spend time exploring this beautiful city, renowned for its wine, architecture, and vibrant food scene. Wander the historic center, enjoy wine bars, and soak up the atmosphere. From Bordeaux, either rent a car and drive to Bergerac (approximately 1.5 hours) or take the train directly to Bergerac. While the train is convenient, having a car in the Dordogne makes exploring the region much easier. Best for: fewer travel hours paired with a great food-and-wine stop.
