Kindly RSVP before Tuesday, August 15th, If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. Sierra-at-Tahoe is a ~35min drive from the Basecamp Hotel in South Lake Tahoe. You are welcome to drive to the wedding venue (there will be ample parking space) if you prefer to have more flexibility. However, we have rented a bus that will leave the Basecamp Hotel at 4pm and will return from Sierra at 11pm. Please indicate in your RSVP if you intend to take the bus so we can make sure we have enough seats for everyone.
Yes, there is ample parking, this is a ski resort so there will be more parking space than you will need. Signage will be posted at the entrance of the venue. Note, that we will also have a bus arranged to and from the venue.
The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm. We recommend that you arrive between 4:30-4:45pm so there is time to walk to the ceremony site, which is a ~5-10min uphill walk, find your seat and mingle. Note, Sierra-at-Tahoe is a ~35min drive from South Lake Tahoe so plan accordingly.
Yes, the dress code is cocktail. This means wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. Our ceremony site and our dinner will be hosted outside (weather permitting) so we recommend that you bring a jacket as evenings can get colder in the mountain at this time of the year (note: Sierra-at-Tahoe is at 6,600ft of elevation) as well as sunglasses and sunscreen as needed. It's also possible that it will be breezy at the ceremony site. The weather at this time of the year can be varied and change quickly (think high 90s to snowing!). Because this is a ski resort, the terrain you will walk on is varied (metal stairs, dirt, uneven terrain) for that reason, we recommend that you wear shoes you feel comfortable walking in, consider platforms/flat (would strongly advise against stiletto heels). There will also be a short uphill walk to reach our ceremony site.
4:30-4:45pm: guests arrive 5pm: ceremony begins promptly 5:30-6:30pm: cocktail hour 6:30pm: dinner will be served buffet style 10pm: reception ends
Yes, you are welcome to bring a plus one but please let us know in advance so we can include them in our guest count and on your envelope. Your envelope would list "(your name) & Guest". For families, it will list "(your name) & Family" or "The (your last name) Family". When you go to RSVP on our website, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for. If your plus one(s) are not listed there, please reach out to us as soon as possible.
Yes kids are welcome. Please let us know the age of the kids when you RSVP as we need to include this in the final guest count for our vendors.
The ceremony will be open seating so sit wherever you please. For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those they know (including their plus one/partner).
Cell reception at Sierra-at-Tahoe can be spotty. Verizon should work best but if you have AT&T, T-Mobile or other, it is likely that you will not have cell service. If you are driving, we recommend that you download your maps before you leave.
We are planning to do a run/hike/workout on the Saturday morning of our wedding. You are more than welcome to join if interested. More information will be shared closer to our wedding date.
