Question

Should I fly into San Francisco (SFO) or Oakland (OAK)?

Answer

SFO is located at the most south part of San Francisco. Taking BART (Bay Area Rapid Transport) from there to Oakland takes about an hour, then you'd have to get up to the Berkeley hills where the wedding is. San Francisco is a shit show to get through in general, so unless you're saving more than $100 for the flight or something, it's not worth it. Oakland Airport is much smaller and easier to get in and out of, and it's closer to the venue by a lot. We don't know the prices, but it's worth explaining that the drive/train from SFO is a much bigger deal than it is with Oakland Airport. If you can, fly into Oakland Airport. If you want to do some sight-seeing in SF, of course that's a great idea and that might change your flight plans, but just know that sight seeing there take a lot of time in a lot of traffic. The wedding is right during traffic hour, unfortunately, so there will be lots of traffic either way.

What's the weather like?... what should I wear?

Answer

We're guestimating the tempurature will be a low of the 50's and a high of 70's... it "should be" nice actually, so it's best to just come prepared with a layer or two as the sun goes down. We don't expect rain... we don't Expect rain that is. The wedding ceremony will be outside and the meal and reception will be indoors. Clouds are a definite possibility, but it could also very well be clear skies with cool air.
