FAQs

Question

Dress Code

Answer

Our dress code is Formal / Black Tie Optional — think elegant and timeless, perfect for a cozy winter evening in the mountains. Gentlemen are welcome to wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie, and ladies may wear a floor-length gown, a dressy midi dress, or a formal cocktail dress. Rich fabrics like velvet, satin, or chiffon are beautiful for the season. We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride- as well as shades of red and black (excluding tuxes and suits). When in doubt, lean dressy! You can never be too elegant for a winter celebration under the stars.

Question

Travel restrictions to Canada

Answer

Canada has very specific entry requirements, and travelers with certain past criminal convictions (including DUIs) may face restrictions at the border. If this might apply to you, we encourage you to check the official Government of Canada website for the most up-to-date information and guidance. In many cases, eligibility can be addressed by submitting additional paperwork ahead of time.

Question

Timeline

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors in the afternoon, so we encourage you to bundle up in your warmest clothes and shoes (boots are welcome!). After the ceremony, there will be a break before the reception—perfect for heading back to your hotel, exploring town, or changing into evening wear. The reception will be held indoors later in the day, and we’ll be providing transportation to and from the venue so you can fully relax and enjoy the celebration.

Question

Transportation to the ceremony

Answer

There will not be a structured transportation option to and from the ceremony and ask that guests plan their own transportation for just this portion of the day. There is not Uber/Lyft in this part of Canada, however there is a local taxi service that operates 24/7 and is a great option for those that do not rent a car. Three sisters taxi will pick you up anywhere in Canmore and take you to the venue for a flat-rate fee. Three sisters taxi (403) 493-9990

Question

Transportation to the reception

Answer

Once the ceremony is over in the afternoon, we invite guests to relax and get ready for the evening. We recommend using the local taxi service to the reception (C$7 from anywhere in Canmore to Silvertip). There will be a shuttle provided starting at 10pm from the reception that can take you directly to your hotel/airbnb. You are not required to take the shuttle and welcome to take your own transportation and utilize the parking at Silvertip- we just wanted to provide the option to make sure everyone gets home safe!
