Where would a Disney obsessed gringo and a Mexican that has watch too many Disney movies meet? Disney World of course... We met while working as Lifeguards at the Polynesian resort in 2011. 🏝
Out of a Hallmark movie, Phillip popped the question in the middle of the Rockefeller Center ice skating ring. Leading up to the proposal, Phillip trained to skate in order to not completely bust his ass on the ice. Phillip made many attempts to reserve a secret proposal reservation with no luck. With our trip to NYC only a day away with no reservation, Phillip felt defeated. However, Phillip does not give up that easy!!! When we made our way to Rockefeller Center, Phillip asked Gaby to stay with the family while he got tickets to skate. Bad news! Tickets were sold out for the whole month! Determined, Phillip (with the help of his sister) joked and hassled the skating manager to just let us in. We got approval and push through the crowded streets to get in. We headed downstairs, got our skates on and headed onto the busy ice rink. We skated around under the holiday lights, surrounded by the cheerful holiday music. After a few minutes, Phillip guided Gaby to the center of the rink and got on one knee and asked his best friend to be with him forever. The crowd in and around the top of the rink began to cheer. Gaby obviously said yes, and they embraced. We hope that you can join us in celebrating our love. ❤️
