If you’re extending your trip, the Algarve is a great option for a few slower days by the coast. It’s known for dramatic golden cliffs, clear turquoise water, and easygoing beach towns. You can spend your time hopping between beaches and little coves, doing a boat tour to see the sea caves (including Benagil Cave), or just taking a scenic walk along the cliffs for some of the best views in Portugal.
