It was Anabell's first year at a sleep away summer camp and Jerry's fifth time at Camp La Verne when, little did they know, both of their lives would be changed for good. It was during a rock repelling activity in the San Bernardino mountains. Jerry had been absent during the first couple of days of a 7 day camp week and Anabell had made some new friends who were all very excited that THE Jerry Terry would be joining them soon. Did she know who that was? Not exactly. However, she was excited for the possibility of even more friends. Meanwhile Jerry was eager to get to camp and catch up on what he had missed. When he did arrive, it seemed as though everyone wanted a chance to talk to him. The first thing she noticed about that 11 year old boy was that he was pretty funny and.. also that she couldn't stop talking to him for some reason. The first thing he noticed about her was that she was pretty cute and reeeaalllyy liked to talk. Ever since then they had a crush on one another that would stand the span of 6 years. Through life changes, and only seeing each other once a year for camp and the occasional youth group trip. They finally got the nerve to confess their feelings during what they thought was their last year of camp together. They later found out that Anabell's grandparents, Mike and Michael Wolfsen joined the church that founded Camp La Verne due to the words of Jerry's grandmother Vera and the community she was so proud to be a part of years prior. Was it fate? Was this an arranged marriage from the start? Who's to say? In the end, they have been by each other's sides through accomplishments, grief, career paths, baseball games, moral dilemmas, lifestyle changes and so much more. They've grown into pretty cool, smart, funny, attractive people (this is definitely not them writing this btw). That is all due to their commitment, love, care and intention that they devote to themselves and the relationship every day. 6 years of not knowing each other's true feelings, 8 years of everyone wondering when they were finally going to get married and 14 years of pure magic. Anabell and Jerry feel so lucky they have this special life together. No matter how long it took to get here, it all happened just the way it was supposed to.
