Playa Santa is one of the most visited spots in Guánica since, its white sand, blue sea, and path of coconut palms that decorate it, serve as a prelude to the paradise that is under its waves. La Jungla Beach
Right next to Playa Santa you will find Playa la Jungla, a hidden and less visited paradise, perfect to relax listening to the sound of its waves. This place is a hidden corner that invites you to sunbathe, read a book and, for the more daring, snorkel, kayak, among others things. Dive without fear! And enjoy a day just for yourself.
Finca El Girasol
A sea of sunflowers is what you can expect in Finca El Girasol. This small farm cultivates and cares for these beautiful flowers. A popular tourist destination right next to the heart of Guanica's town. Walk the farm and take a flower home ♥
Playa Tamarindo
Playa Tamarindo is one of my favorite childhood beaches! Although this beach is located in the town of Guayanilla, its direct connection, and only access is through Guánica's Dry Forest. The beach, with an extensive coastline and crystal clear water, allows one to appreciate the forest's ecosystem.
Bosque Estatal de Guánica
The Guanica State Forest in one of our most important forest reserves. It's complexity and natural wealth have given it great scientific importance as well as a unique beauty. Reasons enough to visit and admire, but take water, it's HOT!
Fuerte Caprón
Enjoy the Bay of Guánica with the privileged view that Fort Caprón provides. Located in the highest part of the mountain, are the ruins of the fort that today is a place that calls for adventure. Climbing it, to enjoy its view, is just one of its attractions.
Bahía Bioluminiscente de La Parguera
La Parguera has one of three bioluminescent bays found along Puerto Rico's coastline. The bay's glowing effect is made possible by micro-organisms called dinoflagellates, which emit a short burst of light when the water is agitated. Various tour companies offer nightly kayak or boat trips to explore the bay's waters.
Gilligans Island
Also one of my favorites, "Cayo Aurora" better known as Gilligans Island is one of the most commonly visited places by locals and tourists. Its appeal goes far beyond the name of the series it carries as a nickname. Its crystal clear waters, diverse maritime life, mangroves and turquoise blue of the channels that cross it, open the doors to a paradise just one mile from the coast of Guánica.
