Jeremy and I met the day before running the Honolulu Marathon. Our mutual friend Jake introduced us and asked us both to run the marathon with him. On the day we met, Jake was driving with Jeremy in his passenger seat when he stopped by where I was working to get a change bag from me. Jeremy and I didn't speak but merely had a quick introduction. It wasn't until after the marathon that Jeremy and I finally had a real conversation. Later in the day, Jeremy decided to join me when I went for a cup of coffee, he had a chai latte. It was then, in that conversation, just the two of us, that we felt the insane chemistry and connection between us. We haven't stopped talking since. So much beauty has happened since Jeremy and I met. We fell in love with each other very early on in our relationship and feel blessed and loved by God throughout this union.
“It was a Saturday afternoon at my house after a hike. After reaffirming his commitment to me and asking me about my commitment to him, Jeremy got down on one knee and proposed. I said YES! Of course. I had already imagined him as my husband. I was taken totally off guard and just looked into his eyes smiling, happy cry laughing, and in awe of God's love for me. I couldn't believe it. He did a great job of keeping it all a secret and surprise. He pulled out a small box he had in his pocket all morning and put a beautiful diamond ring on my finger. It was nothing fancy, but it was the most romantic thing I could’ve imagined...just a quiet and intimate Saturday afternoon at home, two people promising to always be there for each other. Two very blessed people. It was the perfect start to our union as a married couple.
