This is the city's most famous landmark and its best viewpoint. The Experience: You can drive or take a taxi to the top of this rocky hill to see a panoramic 360-degree view of the entire city. It is named for the bell-like sound the rocks make when struck.
The Centro area is where the city’s history and daily life meet. Plaza Zaragoza: This beautiful central square is home to the stunning Metropolitan Cathedral and the Government Palace. Inside the Palace, you can walk through the courtyards and view massive murals that tell the story of Sonora’s history. Mercado Municipal: A vibrant, traditional market where you can buy authentic leather goods, cowboy hats, and local snacks. It’s also a great spot for an affordable, authentic Mexican breakfast.
Parque La Ruina: A former textile mill turned into a trendy outdoor social hub. It features a collection of the city's best food trucks, craft beer stands, live music, and even a "ruined" aesthetic that makes for great photos. It is very popular with locals on the weekends.
