Following our sophomore year of high school, we both decided (independently) to work as counselors for Camp Shalom in Austin, Texas. After a few weeks of occasional conversation, Ari finally mustered up the courage to... have a friend get Ana's phone number. (Ari was 15, to be fair...) A few months of texting later, we had our first date at the now-defunct bowling alley Dart Bowl, followed by dinner at Torchy's, and a visit to Mount Bonnell. From there, our relationship was defined by distance: two years of (very) little distance between our two high schools, four years of medium distance between our two universities, and even a year of long distance between Madrid and Austin. When Ana returned to Austin, we were finally in the same place, and we settled into adult life. Now, 10 years later, after a surprise engagement in New York City, we could not be more thrilled for this next chapter of our life together to begin. We thank you for all of your love and support, and we are beyond excited to see you in Portaria, on Mount Pelion in Greece, in June 2026!
