This was our #1 go to date spot. Easy walking distance from our apartment, great sushi and fun ambience.
Some of the best cocktails we've ever had.
Amazing tacos in a very casual setting.
The best sandwiches in LA. Call in your order 20-30 minutes before arriving to avoid the line. Don't wait too long because they stop serving sandwiches when they run out of bread each day.
If Ana was happy, sad or anything in between we would get the spicey basil as takeout.
Amazing date place. Good wine selection with very knowledgeable and helpful (but not annoying) advice on what to try. The food is great for appetizers or a full meal. Very few seats so make a reservation.
Our first date. The menu has changed, but we didn't eat much anyway!
There are plenty of great KBBQ options in this area, but this one holds a special place in our heart because of the 2 hour all you can eat and drink special that we would abuse.
Our favorite ramen spot.
Great thai food.
The meat skewers and empanadas are all great. The kailua pig empanada is our favorite.
Our upscale neighborhood dive bar.
3-4 floors of fun including swing dancing, a speakeasy tiki bar and some interesting decorating. Gets pretty crowded on Friday-Saturday nights so get there earlier.
The peppered bacon is insanely good.
Dumplings and other smaller plate Chinese food.
Not the best food or drink out there and not even very reasonably priced, but it was across the street so we went here all the time.
Tasty sandwiches and salads for lunch.
A favorite date night for us with great authentic (we think?) Chinese food.
The chef's burger is the best burger in LA.
Great mole in an energetic environment.
Another regular spot of ours with above average food and drink.
Good sharable food.
