Amy and Matt first met what feels like a lifetime ago, on January 22nd, 2014. Matt was in his third year of dental school and Amy had recently graduated college and started her first job. Their first date was at Roastown Coffee - which Amy took as a sign, since she hated first dates at bars (she was even MORE of a lightweight then…). She said yes to a second date, even though he showed her a photo of a cut open face to tell her how his day went. Though her day had been spent writing a press release and dozens of tweets, their careers were the only thing they didn't seem to have in common. They quickly became permanent fixtures in each other's lives. Though their dates got much more interesting after that first coffee, Amy always brought up how she knew he was “the one” because of it. She didn’t even change her mind when he eventually admitted that coffee was his go-to first date: coffee costs $2 and a drink costs $14. In the more than eight years since that first date, Amy and Matt have earned their respective master's and doctorates, traveled the world, survived a pandemic, moved states, adopted the best puppy ever, and built a life together. We can't wait to celebrate starting our next chapter - married life - with all of you!
