What are closest airports?

Answer

You can fly into the (ATL) Atlanta GA, which is about 135 miles from the lake house. (CLT) Charlotte NC, is about 158 miles from the lake house. (GSP) Greenville SC, which is a smaller airport, and about 75 miles away. Depending on the time of day you land, will greatly affect the travel time due to traffic in these areas. Atlanta traffic can be very heavy if you land around rush hour.

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be located outside in the backyard near the lake. Guest will enter the house through the front door, and go down to the lower deck/pool for pre ceremony drinks and appetizers. Grab your favorite spot in the grass area behind the pool, near the lake, and we will join you all there for the ceremony. We will also have a trailer with 4 very high end luxury restrooms that will be in the driveway for all to use. The house plumbing can not handle the amount of people on the property, so please ensure you are using our fancy luxury restrooms.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to give yourself ample time to find a place to park and to be able to walk down the very long driveway to the lake house. We will have live musicians playing 30 min prior to the ceremony to enjoy, in addition to drinks and snacks.

Is it easy to find the lake house via Google maps?

Answer

NO! See the Travel tab for details. Please ensure you leave early in case you get lost on the way to the lake house. There are many different turns and curves to get to the home, which can be confusing, so please give yourself extra time in case you make a wrong turn.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Since this is a private property, we are very limited on the number of guests allowed at the home. If your invitation included a plus 1, then yes, you can bring a guest. If your invitation was just for you, then that means we do not have space for a plus 1 for you. As much as we would love to have everyone with us to celebrate our day, I want to be respectful of the property owner and the space limitations we have. We do appreciate your understanding.

Parking

Answer

Since the property is at the end of the court, you can park in the court and down the street. Please avoid parking in the grass to keep the irrigation system in tact. :)

We are so excited to have you all at our wedding and do not expect gifts, but if you must... We are trying to save for a snowboarding trip, since we did not go on our yearly trip last year, so we love $$$ money!!!
