Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Amy Lennon and Will Simescu
Downtown Davis is full of great spots to eat, grab a drink, and shop. Some of our favorite places are: Breakfast: Cafe Bernardo, Three Ladies Cafe Coffee & Tea: Uppercrust, Pachamama, Molly Jasmine Tea Shoppe, Tea List, Mishkas Cafe Drinks: Three Mile Brewery, Dunloe Brewing Shops: Armadillo Music, Avid Reader, Creme de la Creme, Yesterday, Mabel’s Market We know many of you have mentioned wanting to extend your trip and explore California while you’re here, and Davis is centrally located to many of our favorite places. Within a few hours’ drive, you can visit places like Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Big Sur, Point Reyes, Mendocino, Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and San Francisco. Davis also has an Amtrak station located downtown, a block behind the Hilton Garden Inn, making it easy to travel into Sacramento or San Francisco.
Davis Farmers Market

Davis Farmers Market

301 C Street, Davis, CA 95616

If you’re looking for something to do on Saturday morning, we highly recommend the Davis farmers market. It’s open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Central Park. It’s a great place to grab coffee and pastries or some lunch. You can walk from any of the downtown hotels or take the free farmers market shuttle, a double-decker bus that runs between the downtown area and Central Park.

UC Davis Arboretum

UC Davis Arboretum

500 1st St, Davis, CA 95616

The UC Davis Arboretum is a great place for a morning walk. The arboretum is about 3 miles long and has a variety of gardens and trees from around the world. The redwood grove is especially worth seeing. You can enter the arboretum by walking to the Davis commons shopping center. Walk between My Burma and Bruxie and continue straight to the back of the parking lot, where you'll see the arboretum entrance.
