Nice park in downtown St. Charles along the river. Walking paths and bike paths. Rent a bike and take a ride along the river.

The city of Chicago is not far by train and there are several Metra stations to catch a train. One in Geneva, West Chicago, and Bartlett. There are weekend ticket prices that are good for multiple rides and of course a lot to see and do downtown, museums, shopping, Willis Tower, the Bean and Navy Pier.
Less than a mile from the hotel is a drive through Starbucks for the coffee lovers!
