I (Amy) remember sitting on the couch in 2018, bored at home and thinking, "Well, this is a good time for some laughs—why don't I check out my Tinder messages?" I clicked on Robert's message from 2018, reread it, and thought, "Well, he doesn't seem weird. I wonder why we stopped talking." So I sent him a message. He got back to me and asked me out pretty quickly after our second conversation. Then I was 25 minutes late to our first date... oops. The first family member I met before we were even officially dating was Derek (our Best Man). Robert messaged me at 4 p.m. on a Wednesday and asked if I wanted to go to Fogo de Chão because his cousin was in town for a work conference. The food was delicious and the company was great. I loved that Robert thought to invite me even though that meant we were eating steak at 9 and night. The first friend I met was JT (a groomsman) and Amy at JT's 30th birthday party, where Robert told JT's mom that I was his girlfriend. Which was news to me, because he had never asked me to officially be his girlfriend. And here we are, six years later. We have been through so much together, happy times and sad. We're so grateful to have each other, our friends, and our family. He's seen me at my lowest when I lost my dad in 2023, and my highest when I get an order for my business. I've seen him through his diabetes diagnosis and winning crazy complicated board games. Through it all, we have each other, no matter how many times Robert has to explain game rules to me. The surprise proposal is something I will never forget, because I was truly so clueless throughout the whole day. The thought, energy, and stress that Robert and our wonderful friends went through to pull that off is something I will treasure forever. Please join us for a night of fun, food, dancing, and whisky. We hope to see you there! Love, Amy & Robert
