If you're a fan of science, are interested in nuclear energy, or are a WWII history buff, you can't miss this spot! AMSE has loads of interactive exhibits to educate visitors on nuclear power, and is a treasure trove of primary sources documenting Oak Ridge's role in the Manhattan Project.
Zoo Knoxville

This was always a favorite spot for Amy growing up. Black Bear Falls is a personal favorite, but there are many exciting exhibits to tour!
Frozen Head State Park

We love the hike to the waterfall here! Just be sure to check for openings before you visit - the park is undergoing renovations this winter.
Fort Southwest Point
1225 South Kentucky Street, Kingston, TN 37763
This pioneer-era fort was reconstructed on its original site. Admission is free, and artifacts excavated onsite are on display.
