We like walking the boardwalk NW of McDaniel park. Popular spot for bird-watching. Also, the nearby Green Lantern does a great diner breakfast.
One of ten remaining free zoos in North America. Community-supported and been around since 1911. Very cool.
Feel free to wander in on your own or take a guided tour. Really amazing architecture inside and out. Don't forget to go all the way upstairs to the outdoor observation deck.
