One of our favorite places to go for a walk and get some nature.  Over 1,200 acres filled with a variety of native plants and animals.

University of Wisconsin Madison Arboretum Visitor Center

I/O Arcade Bar

Similar to I/O arcade bar but less polished, cheaper, and more heavy on the classic arcade cabinets.

Aftershock Classic Arcade

Check out this amazing greenhouse with a variety of tropical plants as well as manicured outdoor gardens.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens

Great spot to catch some sun, have a few beers, and take in the view of downtown from across Lake Monona.

The Biergarten at Olbrich Park

Great disc golf course out on the west side that regularly hosts PDGA events. Also check out Hiestand and Vallarta.  $7/day

Elver Park Disc Golf Course

We like walking the boardwalk NW of McDaniel park.  Popular spot for bird-watching.  Also, the nearby Green Lantern does a great diner breakfast.

Lower Yahara River Trail

One of ten remaining free zoos in North America.  Community-supported and been around since 1911.  Very cool.

Henry Vilas Zoo

Feel free to wander in on your own or take a guided tour. Really amazing architecture inside and out. Don't forget to go all the way upstairs to the outdoor observation deck.

Wisconsin State Capitol

Our favorite art museum in the city, and it's free! Located on the University campus.
