Dumser's Dairyland Restaurant
BEST MILKSHAKE and BEST FRIED CHICKEN (unfortunately as of July 2024, Dumser's is no longer serving fried chicken.) Fun fact: The 123rd street location is where Matthew proposed to Amy!! If you go to this location, go inside and sit at the counter for an old fashion milkshake experience. The bride and groom recommend ordering one milkshake but splitting it between two people (The bride and groom always share the black and white shake). Order some fried chicken with your shake or get a bucket to go. This place also has the BEST ONION RINGS so be sure to order them as a side.
Higgins Crab House North
BEST FRIED CHICKEN (tied with Dumser's). The bride and groom recently found out that Dumser's is no longer serving fried chicken. The restaurant is unsure if this change will be permanent or temporary. So, Matt and Amy decided to try Higgin's carry-out bucket of fried chicken and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! The bride and groom recommend grabbing a bucket of Higgin's fried chicken and stopping at Dumser's for an order of onion rings to go.
Berlin
BEST DOWNTOWN AREA Fun facts: Berlin was voted America's coolest small town and Runaway Bride, featuring Julia Roberts, was filmed here! Saturday September 7, 2024, Berlin is having their Small Town Throw Down Country Music Concert from 1pm - 6pm. Every Sunday, Berlin hosts its Farmers Market on Main Street. Definitely a cool place to visit, walk around, shop, and eat. (FREE parking at the bank and in most of the parking lots in Berlin).
One Coastal
BEST DINNER $$-$$$ (tied with The Hobbit) Farm to table meals. Open kitchen concept. Chef Matt Kern is a James Beard Nominated Chef and is very personable. He will likely stop by your table to say hi. The bride and groom recommend ordering the CACIO E PEPE as the pasta course for the table. Do not skip dessert. One Coastal's pastry chef, Skylar Crowley, makes the desserts in-house. Matthew recommends the Cookie Sandwich, while Amy recommends the Milk N Honey. Worth every calorie!! *Reservations required
Hobbit Restaurant
BEST DINNER $$$ (tied with One Coastal) Delicious food!! Amazing ambiance!! Be sure to check when the sun is scheduled to set and make your reservation around that time. Gorgeous sunset from any seat in the restaurant. Business casual attire. *Reservations required
Vanderwendes at Fenwick
Hands down, BEST ICE CREAM in the area. Located in the Village of Fenwick Shoppes which have unique eateries and cute boutiques. Grab a cone, walk around, and explore the village.
Bourbon Street on the Beach Restaurant & Live Music Venue
BEST OYSTERS FOR THE PRICE HH is 3-6pm everyday which includes Buck-a-Shuck oysters. Live music every night, similar to Bourbon Street in NO. Check out their website for more information on HH specials and their live music line-up.
Shotti's Point Ocean City
BEST ALL AROUND MEAL Great place for lunch or a laid back dinner. Shotti's menu does not disappoint. The wood fired pizza is delicious. They also have a quality crab cake (one of the best in the area). If the ramen is still on the menu, it is definitely worth ordering.
Barn 34
BEST BREAKFAST/BRUNCH Scrumptious food. Big portions. The Cinnamon Roll French Toast (occasionally offered as one of their specials), is highly recommended by the bride and groom.
Old Pro Golf
BEST MINI-GOLF Fun fact: Amy is the reigning champion of mini-golf and beat Matthew one-on-one at the 23rd street location. She also placed 1st, with Matthew placing 2nd (aka first loser) at the 63rd street indoor location and the 28th street location (27 holes). Although Amy loves to relive her victory over Matthew at the 23rd street location, the 28th street location is her favorite place to mini-golf with the family. Any of the Old Pro mini-golf locations in OCMD are recommended by the bride and groom.
Liquid Assets
BEST ATMOSPHERE The bride and groom recommend Liquid Assets for a date night outing. Split the following: Spinach Salad, Angus Short Rib French Onion Pot Pie, and the Ice Cream Sandwich. You WILL NOT be disappointed!
M.R. Ducks
BEST OUTSIDE BAR HH M-F 3-6pm 1 dozen steam clams or 1/2 pound shrimp $7 (plus other HH specials, see website). Sit outside by the bay and watch the boats while enjoying HH food and drink specials. For an outside dining experience with less of a bar atmosphere but similar scenery, check out The Angler (across the street from M.R. Ducks).
Fager's Island
BEST SUNSET Best place to watch the sunset in OCMD. Outdoor fire pits. Great nightlife. Dress code after 8pm.
Trattoria Lombardi's Restaurant
BEST PIZZA The locals' favorite pizza and the bride and groom's go-to pizza spot. Their meatballs and mozzarella sticks are also tasty!
The Original Crabcake Factory
BEST CRABCAKE 120th street location is the original location. The bride and groom recommend the crab cakes with a side of fries. They also have award winning bloody marys that are a meal in themselves.
Thrasher's French Fries
BEST FRENCH FRIES An OCMD staple. If you leave without getting Thrasher fries, were you even in OCMD???? Large portions, definitely shareable.
Mother's Cantina
BEST HH TACOS & MARGARITAS HH 4pm-6pm daily. Only go here during their HH. The bride and groom recommend ordering the Fried Fish hard tacos and the Chicken hard tacos. $5 Margaritas during HH.
Fisher's Popcorn
BEST CARAMEL POPCORN Fishers Popcorn is an OCMD staple. DO NOT leave without getting caramel corn from one of their locations. You will not be disappointed.
Kirby's Pub
BEST STEAMED SHRIMP Hole in the wall locals' bar. The bride and groom love to go here for their steamed shrimp and french dip sandwich.
The Wedge Bar
BEST NEW OUTSIDE RESTAURANT AND BAR The Wedge is a newer establishment in OCMD. Its an awesome place to eat and drink while enjoying the views of OCMD. Its located at the inlet, situated at the end of the boardwalk, with views of the water where the ocean meets the bay. The conch fritters are really good considering its OCMD and not Key West.
Trimper Rides of Ocean City
BEST AMUSEMENT PARK RIDES If you want to enjoy amusement park rides, ONLY go to Trimper's! Do NOT go to Jolly Rogers (either location) for the rides. Only go to Jolly Rogers on 29th street for their water park (2901 Coastal Highway -which is HIGHLY recommended for both adults and kids).
Seacrets
BEST JERK CHICKEN and HONEY MUSTARD If you've been to OCMD before, chances are you've been to Seacrets. If you have never been there, its definitely worth the experience. This is THE NIGHTLIFE location for OCMD goers, although it is just as popular during the day! With three music stages and a night club, there seems to be non-stop entertainment. Grab some jerk chicken with Seacrets' own honey mustard sauce (you can even purchase it by the bottle) while you're there.
