We were introduced when Amy arrived to Austin to do her internship at TSD. Having the same circle of friends, they causally saw each other during Friday Happy Hours, Game Nights, or events on the weekends. Each event brought us closer and closer and one Happy Hour turned into a "Wanna get dinner?" After deciding to go to Pinthouse Pizza (Handsdown--The best pizza in Austin)...and more than a 3 hour dinner conversation and drinks... the rest is history! :)

As Amy graduated she applied to different schools. In the end she accepted a job at Indiana School for the Deaf. Both Amy and Mark accepted the fact that Long Distance will be hard but was determined to make it work at least for a year. With visiting each other every other month whether it was a week visit, long weekend visit or even a surprise visit! As the year ended Amy and Mark sat down to discuss the pros and cons of who should move. Guess you all know the answer to this!

As Austin won! Amy moved from Indiana to Texas. Moving in an apartment together and starting new things together like Orange Theory. After a few months COVID-19 hit. Stuck in a tiny apartment together, we started running more together, started dreaming what life together would look like. One big thing was a house! so during COVID-19 we built our dream home together.

After 5 years together! the big question was.. was Amy going to be like her Mom and give Mark a dead line? Or was Mark going to be like his Dad and wait for her to pop the question? On Jan 1, Mark wanted to take the usual Holiday Photo we do every year. However this photo has always been taken at home with our IPhones. This year, Mark said let's go out to do our photo. Amy was quite annoyed by this because she really just wanted to stay home and binge on Netflix. Giving in, Amy changed her clothes and asked Mark where we going? Mark simply said "Where you want to go?" Boy! did Amy roll her eyes! After deciding on a place upon arrival there was a big old sign that says "Reservation only!" All of the sudden a Photographer appear and said" Mark recently contacted me and I live near by to take your Photos" After taking a few photos, Mark got down on one knee.
