Things To Do

Whether you're coming in for the weekend or turning our wedding into your mini vacation (highly recommended), Centreville and the surrounding Northern Virginia area have plenty to explore. Here are some of our favorite spots to sip, stroll, snack, and unwind before or after the big day.

The Winery at Bull Run

15950 Lee Highway, Centreville, VA 20120

Besides being our gorgeous wedding venue, this historic winery is perfect for wine flights and vineyard views. Get there early and soak in the scenery with a glass in hand.

Paradise Springs Winery

13219 Yates Ford Road, Clifton, VA 20124

A charming little spot tucked into the woods. Great wine, cozy vibes, and an easy 15-minute drive.

NOVA LIVE

9901 Discovery Boulevard, Manassas, VA 20109

A brewery meets food truck park meets live music hangout. Come for the beer, stay for the dancing toddlers and really good BBQ.

Manassas National Battlefield Park

6511 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109

Take a breezy walk through Civil War history. Yes, we’re getting married near a battlefield, and yes, it’s cooler than it sounds.

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway, Chantilly, VA 20151

Planes! Rockets! A Space Shuttle! It’s basically a playground for anyone who’s ever looked up and said “whoa.”

Bull Run Regional Park

7700 Bull Run Drive, Centreville, VA 20121

Big green spaces, walking trails, and a splash of nature. (Bonus: in April, you might catch the tail end of cherry blossom season.)

Smithsonian National Zoological Park

3001 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20008

Free admission and full of fun animals, from giant pandas to sloths. Just prepare for some walking—and possibly a meltdown near the snack bar (kids, adults, who’s to say).

The Wharf DC

760 Maine Avenue Southwest, Washington, DC 20024

Great waterfront spot with food, live music, and even paddle boats when the weather’s nice. Grab an ice cream and enjoy the views—plus, it’s stroller-friendly!
