Average highs of 84 degrees & average lows at 61 degrees. Ceremony will be outdoors, reception will be mostly outdoors but an indoor option as well. We recommend bringing a light sweater for night time but expect beautiful & blooming days for an average Spring season in North Carolina!
Block, chunky or flat base as the terrain will be majority grass.
Spring time will be beautifully warm so we recommend lighter clothes that can be layered as it gets cooler into the night. We are aiming for a very festive, fun, garden wedding setting so feel free to join in on looking 'the part' ;) Dressy-casual & cocktail attire are suitable but ultimately we want you to be comfortable, ready to take some great photos & prepared to dance the night away!
We are holding a very intimate wedding with faces that have been in our lives & lovingly will be inviting only those whom we know. If an invite was addressed with your name on it, that is the intended recipient we hope to see! (:
YES! We are also Orange County transplants here in NC & we have grown very fond of the endless beautiful places to explore on this coast! NC is known for it's natural beauty so if you're a lover of nature, active living, southern hospitality or an American history connoisseur then the Carolinas will be extra fun. If you have some time to drive then NC offers Blue Ridge Parkway, Outer banks, Asheville, Charlotte, Charleston (SC) & Myrtle Beach (SC) but our personal home away from home is Wilmington. Some nearby options for day trips are a variety of golf courses, lakes for fishing or boating, waterfalls, wholesome family owned fruit farms & so on. Hope you can enjoy it out here while in town celebrating with us (:
Unfortunately, as our guest list is a conservative amount, there is no hotel block established but if you need recommendations we've noted some suggestions in the 'Travel' category. Air B&Bs are also very popular in this area to try.
* We recommend flying into Raleigh/ Durham - there's MUCH to do in this big city & it is the largest airport near us. * We are located in Fayetteville (approx. 1 hr south of Raleigh) - comparable to LAX & OC. * Another option is to fly directly into Fayetteville. *We also recommend, if you are planning on exploring the coast then you can fly directly into Wilmington airport (1.5 hrs from Fayetteville).
The ceremony will kick off the start of the wedding day & following the ceremony, we will be reserving time to take photos together. After photos, we will continue the celebration to our home for an intimate get-together where we will indulge in drinks, food and memory making. ***Important Note: Due to NC's alcohol licensing guidelines, no alcohol is allowed at the ceremony so we recommend getting a head start in advance a.k.a. "Pre-game" ;)
