Maid of Honor
Zee and Amy met in 8th grade and quickly realized they lived 10 doors away from each other. They carpooled all throughout high school, were in the same clubs, and got into the same music. Zee went away for college but that didn't stop her from RUINING Amy by making her love KPOP. #BangtanSonyeondan
Best Man
In high school Kam thought he could, with no prior experience, bench press 235 lbs after seeing "fat Travis" do it with no problem. He could not. Travis had to lift the bar off of him so he wouldn't die. He took a trip to California with Amy and Kam and then lost the keys to the AirBnB. He also helped us move to our house with no complaints!
Bridesmaid
Amy's older sister! She helped raise Amy and Andy when mama had to work. One day Amy decided she wanted a tattoo and told (not asked) Ashley they were going to get inked the following day and all Ashley said was "okay, cool." She's always nonchalant and down for random adventures!
Groomsman
Amy's "little" brother (he's taller). He cannot speak around Amy without her busting out laughing. He isn't even trying to be funny, but she ALWAYS laughs. Tough when he's trying to be serious. One time he ran face-first into Amy's bunk bed when he was chasing her because she dove but he didn't!
Bridesmaid
Meli moved into the apartment across from Amy right before high school. The girls were always over at each others houses making MESSES. Ashley, Amy, and Meli used to dye their hair outrageous colors in Meli's sink, then make their own pizza and binge watch anime. We thought were so cool (and we WERE, thank you very much!)
Groomsman
Amy met Chunky when she was in sixth grade and he was new to the States. Ashley gave him his nickname and he's never been able to escape it! Amy helped him learn English by being super annoying and constantly correcting him. Chunky is the wild card of our friend group - you never know what this kid's going to say!
Bridesmaid
Jess and Amy met through Zee (thank you!) and have had a bunch of cool adventures since then. Notably, she drove to Dallas so that we could see BTS and SEVENTEEN. She's always down for our shenanigans, but also knows a little bit about everything! Ever met someone who can hold a conversation about Korean actors and organic chemistry without missing a beat? Meet Jess!
Groomsman
Kam and Benji met in middle school but had different friend groups going into high school, so they stopped talking as much. Imagine their surprise when they found out (as juniors) that their girlfriends were best friends! Small world, huh? Benji has a dark sense of humor that always manages to throw the group off but it keeps us on our toes at least :)
Bridesmaid
Edna and Amy met in high school when they were going through pre-med classes and then reconnected when Amy transferred to UH. There they spent many tear-filled, dr pepper-fueled hours together counting FLIES for genetics lab (seriously, how did we survive the 40 page paper?!). Hi-lights of our time at UH were getting $1 ice cream after the football team would win a game!
Groomsman
Our resident genius. Grant and Amy's first conversation was in 11th grade English when they were the only ones to recognize the song "Home." Grant is part of the "Gain Train" the boys have, which makes the girls feel left out but I'm not about to do squats sooo... Why would you bother eating oatmeal if there was no protein powder in it? He couldn't fathom it.
Bridesmaid
Lex and Amy met in college where they were both counselors for summer camp (ew). Luckily, they instantly connected-they liked all the same things and wondered why they hadn't met sooner! They started hanging out after that and Amy even student-taught in Lex's school :) The fiances met each other and got along swimmingly, too! It all fell into place beautifully and now we have more people to geek out with!
Groomsman
Abdul and Kam taught a broadcasting class together in high school (Delk didn't know what she was doing). To get their best shots, Abdul would push Kam around on a rolling chair down the hallway. They shot a handful of short films together, one of which involved everyone staying up for 48 hours straight (thank you, coffee and Bub's pork butt!). You'll always know when Abdul is around - he's quite vocal :)
