Once upon a time, there was a girl who had just gone through the biggest heartbreak of her life, and a boy who was looking for his one true love. Now I’m too much of a realist to believe in fairytales, but here’s a peek into the way our life began together. Justin and I met one fateful night as he was working with our friend Jimmy on one of their many garage projects. At one point, Justin looked up and saw…creatures from outer space! The aliens were just Steph (Jim’s wife) and I with green mud masks on. I certainly made a great first impression… Interestingly, we spent the early summer bumping into each other at friends’ parties but never really got to know each other until… On July 9, 2018, when I was on my way to work, I was rear-ended! I showed up for work that day with a huge lump on my forehead not knowing what to do next. I reached out to Jimmy to get some advice and he suggested I call Justin who worked at an auto body shop in Glendale. Justin was able to calm my nerves over the phone and helped me navigate what to do next. After Justin fixed my van, he and I were like two peas in a pod. If he wasn’t at Jimmy’s, his mom’s, or work, he would be found helping me with my house projects. It was wonderful to find such a great friend in Justin! Come August, Justin and I, along with our friends Erica and Matt, went to see the Zac Brown Band at Alpine Valley. By the time we left, Justin had swept me off my feet! As Sweetest Day rolled around, Justin and I were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Five and a half years later on March 14th, Justin got down on one knee and asked me to be his best friend forever on a white, sandy beach in Florida. Justin has improved my life in so many ways. He has become an essential part of my family and an amazing stepdad to Alaina and Austin. Happily, we invite you to witness the culmination of our love story. Join us as we exchange vows and set out on the greatest adventure—a journey woven with love, laughter, and dreams yet to unfold. I am so incredibly proud and pumped to become Mrs. Justin Tyczkowski!
