This will be a laid-back, intimate celebration with our favorite people. Our venue is nestled in the horse and wine country of D.C.'s western suburbs, overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since we moved to D.C. five years ago, this has become a favorite weekend getaway of ours. Rural Virginia bears a resemblance to Amy's hometown of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. With this in mind, we want our wedding to feel homey – like an elevated backyard party. So, come as you are, and don't take any of this too seriously.
COLOR IS ENCOURAGED! Please dress semi-formally, and bear in mind that part of this event will be outdoors. Ladies – think midi or maxi dresses, pastels or bright colors, and airy fabrics. Gents – think light or colorful suits OR dress pants with button down shirts. Ties and jackets are optional.
Yes! We will provide shuttle service from the hotel to the venue and back. Shuttles will run throughout the evening, so you will have multiple opportunities to leave the reception (though we'd love for you to stay until the party is over)!
If your invitation is addressed to you "and Guest," then yes! Otherwise, we request that you attend solo.
Although we love your little ones, our wedding is an adults-only event. We want to celebrate with the most present, carefree version of you :)
