In the summer of 2016, Amy moved to the town of Greenport with her cousin Annie. Greenport is a nostalgic town for Amy and her cousin. They would stay at their grandfather's condominium and wave to boats. Annie was working at the restaurant Claudio's Clam Bar that summer and Amy would work during the week as a camp counselor. The first week that they moved in, they visited Montauk and picked up two of Annie's friends to stay for the weekend. Amy would entertain them while Annie was at work. When Annie got off her shift, the friends went to the Whiskey Wind (the town dive bar). There was a bachelorette party going on and the bar was busy. Jonathan was at the Whiskey Wind but Amy did not pay much attention to him. He thought she was cute. No words were exchanged. Annie was friends with all the bartenders in town because if you don't know Annie, she's a social butterfly. After the Whiskey Wind, Annie, Amy, and the friends walked to the bartender's Sparks' mom's house. Yes, that's his name, Sparks. It started out as a relatively small social gathering but others would later stop by. Amy was talking to John Schott, one of Jonathan's friend's. She was giving him advice on a girl he was seeing (or not seeing yet). Later in the evening, Jonathan came in the room and the two were silly right away with each other. They spoke of Jeff Goldblum and Jurassic Park. The night entered day and Amy really had to take her cousin home. Annie did not want to go home that night because of FOMO (fear of missing out). Amy found a hula hoop and impressed Jonathan with her moves. Jonathan did a yoga move (the crow?) . As much as Amy wanted to stay even more, she had to take her cousin home because she had work in a few hours. Right before Amy left, John Schott asked for her Facebook info in hopes to get together. It worked to their advantage, Jonathan asked Amy on a date through John becoming friends with Amy on Facebook. They watched Jeff Goldblum on their 1st date.
