John and Amy first met in July 1998. While John's family home was being built, he and his family lived with his grandparents, which is next door to Amy's family home. For those two years they made many memories together!
After John's family moved into their new house, Amy and John lost touch. However, 15 years later they were reintroduced by mutual friends and instantly rekindled. They spent the night sharing old memories and catching up on lost time!
For their first date John and Amy went to go see Fast and Furious 7 at the Providence iMAX theater, followed by drinks at Kartar Bar on Thayer Street. They spent all night laughing and smiling; after that night they both said they knew one another was "the one"!
John and Amy purchased their first home in North Providence in October 2017. After two months of renovations, they, along with their two dogs, finally moved in just in time for Christmas!
On Christmas Eve at Amy's family house John got down on one knee and proposed to Amy in front of all of Amy's immediate family. Afterwards, they walked up the street to John's aunt and uncle's house where his family was having dinner and announced the news!
John and Amy plan to marry on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Church of The Holy Ghost in Providence, followed by a reception at the Graduate Providence hotel, formerly known as the historic Providence Biltmore!
