Gentlemen: If you own a tux, have fun and wear it! If you don't own one, don't stress over it -- you can rent a tux, but a dark suit and bow tie will also look great. For rentals, theblacktux.com is a great option. Ladies: Use your judgement, but don't stress too much! The length is not important, and you will look great no matter what you wear!
There is no right answer to this, as it depends on your schedule, budget, and personal preferences. Amy and David will be staying in the city, and if you are coming for multiple nights, you might enjoy the city and all it has to offer. Suburban hotels (Newton/Natick/Needham) will certainly be more convenient on Friday afternoon, but there shouldn't be any traffic back to the city after the reception. We love Boston, but we understand if you prefer to stay in the suburbs for any reason! If you have hotel/credit card points or miles, you may find a deal that is much better than the cash rate listed. If you need any specific help deciding on a hotel or location, we will gladly help you out! Easy access to I-90 will be helpful on the wedding day.
- Pre-Wedding: We recommend Uber/Lyft to the venue, but be cautious with wait times. There will be Friday traffic. If coming from Boston, plan for 45 minutes. - Post-Wedding: We will provide transportation to downtown Boston around 10:30 pm. This is your best bet if you're coming for late night, staying in the city, or want to Uber home more easily from the city. Elm Bank to Boston should take 30 minutes. - The suburbs do have Uber/Lyft for pre and post-wedding, but wait times may be worse. Please plan for longer waits pre-wedding, and consolidate with other guests post-wedding.
Your digital envelope and RSVP card should specify the parties invited per household. No children will be in attendance for the reception, but they are definitely welcome at Cisco Brewery on Saturday!
